YouTube Sponsorship Rates: How to Price Integrations and Shorts
Price a YouTube sponsorship from your median 30-day views times a CPM range, then price dedicated videos, Shorts, usage and exclusivity as separate lines.

To price a YouTube sponsorship, take the median views your recent long-form videos reached 30 days after publishing, divide by 1,000 and multiply by a CPM range for your niche. Most published ranges for a 60 to 90 second integration sit between $10 and $50 per 1,000 views. Then price dedicated videos, Shorts, usage and exclusivity as separate lines.
Sponsors buy views, so the quote starts in YouTube Studio. This guide covers the published ranges that held up when we checked them at the source, a worked quote, and the YouTube rules that shape what you can sell.
How much do YouTube sponsorships pay?
Published guides put a YouTube integration at roughly $10 to $50 per 1,000 views, with finance and software at the top and gaming at the bottom. Each figure below is the source's own claim, and none of them publishes a sample size.
| Source | What it prices | Published figure |
|---|---|---|
| Karat, undated (checked November 2026) | Sponsored segment of 60 to 90 seconds | $20 to $50 CPM |
| Karat | Dedicated video | $30 to $80 CPM |
| 1of10, August 2026 | Integration | $10 to $50 per 1,000 expected views |
| Creators Agency, May 2026 | Finance, investing and business mid-roll | $50 to $200 CPM |
| Creators Agency | Tech and software | $20 to $60 CPM |
| Creators Agency | Health and fitness | $15 to $40 CPM |
| Creators Agency | Beauty and lifestyle | $10 to $30 CPM |
| Creators Agency | Gaming | $4 to $12 CPM |
| Collabstr, 2026 report | Average YouTube package and average payout on its marketplace in 2025 | $311 asked, $255 paid |
1of10 says its ranges were compiled from public creator-reported rates and marketplace listings. Creators Agency cites an index of more than 200,000 videos from more than 12,000 channels, and it doesn't explain how it set its niche ranges.
Collabstr's figures come from its own marketplace, where nearly 80% of collaborations in 2025 cost under $300. Read that as a floor for small channels, and use your own analytics to pick a spot inside the CPM ranges.
How do you price a YouTube integration?
Multiply your median 30-day views by a CPM range, then compare the result with what the video costs you to make. Quote whichever number is higher.
Start from median views at 30 days
Pull the views each of your last 10 to 15 long-form videos had 30 days after publishing, sort them and take the middle number. Karat's guide says to use your last 10 to 15 pieces of content and leave your best performers out, and 1of10 says to price off median views and never your best video.
Use the same 30-day mark in the contract. 1of10 calls views at 30 days after publishing, as YouTube Studio reports them, the standard measurement window.
A worked example
Here's the math on a made-up deal. A fitness channel's last 12 videos have a median of 40,000 views at 30 days, and a supplement brand wants a 60 to 90 second integration, with options for more.
| Line | How it's calculated | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Integration | 40,000 views at Creators Agency's $15 to $40 health and fitness CPM, set at $1,200 after a cost check | $1,200 |
| Dedicated video, if wanted | 1of10's 2x to 4x the integration fee | $2,400 to $4,800 |
| Sponsored Short, if wanted | 1of10's 0.25x to 0.5x the integration fee | $300 to $600 |
| Description link and pinned comment | 1of10's 5% to 10% added | $60 to $120 |
| Paid usage of the segment, 90 days | 1of10's 30% to 100% of base | $360 to $1,200 |
| Exclusivity, 30 days | 1of10's 20% to 30% for 30 days | $240 to $360 |
The ranges are wide because these are rules of thumb. Pick your spot in each one, write down why, and quote the same way next time so your rates hold together across sponsors.
Check your cost floor
List the hours for scripting, filming, editing and revisions, plus props, travel and any paid help. If the CPM math lands under that total, quote the cost floor.
Count the minutes of the video the segment takes, too. A 90-second read costs your audience more of the video than a 30-second mention, and 1of10 prices a 30-second mention at 0.5x to 0.7x of a 60-second one.
How should you price dedicated videos, Shorts and other formats?
Price each format as a multiple of your integration fee, then check it against that format's own numbers. A dedicated video gives the sponsor the whole video, and a Short plays in a different feed with a different kind of view.
| Format | 1of10's multiple of a 60-second integration |
|---|---|
| Dedicated video | 2x to 4x |
| 30-second mention | 0.5x to 0.7x |
| Sponsored Short | 0.25x to 0.5x |
| Community post | 0.1x to 0.2x |
| Description link and pinned comment | 5% to 10% added |
Creators Agency also puts a full sponsor-focused video at 2 to 4 times a mid-roll integration. Karat prices the 2 formats by CPM instead, at $30 to $80 for a dedicated video against $20 to $50 for a segment.
Shorts
YouTube changed how it counts Shorts views on March 31, 2025. Its help page says a view now counts each time a Short starts to play or replays, with no minimum watch time, and the earlier metric lives on in YouTube Analytics as engaged views.
That can make the public count much larger than engaged views. Quote Shorts on engaged views, name that metric in the contract, and price each Short from your Shorts analytics, kept separate from your long-form numbers.
The same page says Shorts can run up to 3 minutes, so agree the length in the brief as well.
What else belongs in a YouTube sponsorship quote?
Usage rights, exclusivity, YouTube's own rules and payment terms all change what the deal is worth. Settle each one in the quote before you film.
Usage rights and exclusivity
A sponsor that wants to cut your segment into its own ads is buying usage. 1of10 prices usage at 30% to 100% of the base fee and calls 90 days to 12 months normal, so scope it by platform and window. Our guide to usage rights breaks the math down by channel.
Exclusivity keeps you away from competing sponsors for a set time. 1of10 lists 20% to 30% for 30 days and 50% or more for 90 days, and it warns against accepting exclusivity as a default contract line.
YouTube's branded content rules
YouTube's Branded Content Policies, as we checked them in November 2026, set these terms:
- You have to declare branded content with the paid promotion setting in YouTube Studio, and YouTube shows viewers a disclosure at the start of the video.
- The policy covers videos, descriptions, comments, live streams and Shorts.
- You can't burn advertiser-created video ads, such as pre-rolls or mid-rolls, into your content.
- Alcohol, financial services, healthcare and medicines, gambling, and elections and political content carry extra restrictions, and you're responsible for confirming the brand holds any Google certification it needs.
- Videos with branded content can still earn ad revenue in the Partner Program, YouTube may avoid running a competitor's ad on them, and they're removed from the YouTube Kids app.
Payment terms
1of10 calls net 30 from the publish date standard and flags payment that waits on a view count as a red flag. Ask for a deposit on signing, a payment date, a late fee and a kill fee if the sponsor cancels after you've started.
If a sponsor wants a view guarantee, offer a flat fee with a CPM top-up. 1of10 suggests a base at your floor plus a top-up trued up at day 30 for growing channels.

Questions creators ask
How much should I charge for a YouTube sponsorship with 10,000 subscribers?
Price from your views, then compare the result with tier guides. 1of10 puts channels with 10,000 to 50,000 subscribers at $200 to $1,500 per sponsored video, and says a channel averaging 25,000 views can quote $500 to $1,250 for a 60-second integration.
Do Shorts sponsorships pay less than long-form integrations?
In the guides we checked, they do. 1of10 prices a sponsored Short at 0.25x to 0.5x a 60-second integration, so price yours from the engaged views your Shorts get.
Will a sponsorship hurt my ad revenue?
YouTube says videos with branded content can still earn ad revenue for Partner Program channels that follow its advertiser-friendly guidelines. It may also replace an ad from your sponsor's direct competitor with a different ad.
Should I guarantee views to a sponsor?
Guarantee a measurement window and a pay structure, such as a flat fee with a CPM top-up at day 30. If a sponsor insists on a view guarantee, cap the make-good at 1 extra mention or a Short, and put the cap in writing.
How do sponsors find YouTube creators?
Many reach out directly. YouTube's Creator Partnerships tab also lets eligible Partner Program channels set desired rates for long-form and Shorts deals and add a manager or agent email that's copied on every inquiry. Our guide to YouTube BrandConnect covers how to join.
