Should You Join a TikTok LIVE Agency? Terms, Splits and Red Flags

A TikTok LIVE agency, which TikTok calls a Creator Network, coaches LIVE creators and earns TikTok bonuses. Here's what to check before you accept an invite.

Join a TikTok LIVE agency if you go LIVE regularly, the agency offers coaching and support you'd struggle to get alone, and the contract keeps your earnings, schedule and exit in your hands. TikTok calls these agencies Creator Networks: independent businesses that recruit and develop LIVE creators, and that can earn monthly bonuses from TikTok's own incentive programs.

If an agency has messaged you, this guide covers what it does, how it makes money, what the contract should say and the red flags that mean you should decline. The platform details come from TikTok's own pages.

What is a TikTok LIVE agency?

A TikTok LIVE agency is a company that TikTok has approved as a Creator Network to recruit and support LIVE creators. TikTok calls these networks business partners of TikTok LIVE, and it also describes them as independent third-party businesses that operate on the platform on their own behalf.

To join the program, an agency applies through LIVE Backstage, TikTok's operating platform for Creator Networks. TikTok's Creator Networks page says applicants submit company registration, shareholding and management details, and that reviews usually take 5 to 7 business days.

Once approved, a network gets tools to manage its creators. TikTok's LIVE Backstage explainer from June 2026 says networks can organize creator groups, assign tasks, see creator-level performance data and hand out promotion tools like flares and Promote coupons. Individual creators can't use LIVE Backstage on their own.

The program is growing fast, by TikTok's own account. Its Creator Networks page cites 2026 internal data showing 90%+ year-over-year growth in Creator Networks on LIVE and 60%+ growth in their revenue. If agencies keep landing in your DMs, that growth is the backdrop.

How do TikTok LIVE agencies make money?

TikTok rewards them. Creator Networks can join TikTok's incentive programs for monthly bonuses, and TikTok says networks use LIVE Backstage to track creators' Diamonds and active hours and to review their monthly bonuses and payouts.

TikTok also runs Community Fest, a year-end tournament where networks receive rankings and rewards for LIVE growth. Since your Diamonds and hours are the numbers a network watches, expect an agency to care a lot about both.

Your own LIVE earnings come from viewers. Under TikTok's Virtual Items Policy for US users (updated January 2026), viewers buy Coins to send Gifts, and creators collect Diamonds based on the viewer engagement their content receives. The policy also says Diamonds don't automatically entitle a creator to a reward payment, since TikTok weighs popularity alongside other factors under its rewards terms.

Whether an agency also takes a share of your earnings comes down to its contract. The TikTok pages we checked don't set or publish a rate for that, so ask directly and get the answer in writing.

What should a TikTok LIVE agency contract say?

A good contract makes your earnings, hours, scope and exit clear, in writing, before you accept the invitation. Here's what to look for and what to refuse.

TermWhat to get in writingRed-flag version
Share of earningsWhether the agency takes any part of your LIVE rewards, and the exact percentageA share that's only promised verbally, or that rises over time
ScopeTikTok LIVE onlyClaims on brand deals, other platforms or all your TikTok income
HoursA suggested streaming schedule you can changeMinimum hours, with penalties or fees for missing them
Term and exitThe length, the notice period and how to leaveNo exit clause, or a fee to leave
PaymentsWho pays you, when and howYour rewards routed to the agency's account first
Account accessYou keep your login, and moderators use in-app rolesRequests for your password
CostsAnything the agency pays for, listedPressure to buy Coins or Gifts with your own money
FeesNo fee to joinTraining packages, starter kits or activation fees

Once you've agreed terms, joining happens in the app. TikTok's agency invite page says you find your invitation code under Settings and privacy, then Creator tools, LIVE Center and Agency Center. The agent uses that code to send an invitation, and you read it and accept it.

Before you tap accept, check that the invitation comes from the same company named on your contract.

What are the red flags in a TikTok LIVE agency?

An upfront fee is the clearest one. The FTC's job scam guidance (2023) tells people not to pay for the promise of a job, and the same logic applies to an agency that charges you to join.

Watch for these too:

  • Paid "training" or a starter package before you can begin
  • Claims to be TikTok staff, or results that TikTok supposedly guarantees
  • A promised monthly income from LIVE
  • Requests for your password or login codes
  • A contract you can only read after accepting the invite
  • Hour quotas with penalties, or pressure to buy Gifts for battles
  • Vague answers about how you'd leave

On the TikTok point, its LIVE Backstage explainer says TikTok "does not endorse, sponsor, or assume any responsibility for the business activities or conduct of any Creator Network." An agency can be an approved partner and still run a bad contract, so judge the terms on their own.

Is a TikTok LIVE agency the same as a talent manager?

They do different jobs. A LIVE agency focuses on your streams: coaching, battles, events and the Diamonds and hours TikTok tracks. A talent manager runs the business of your whole career, from brand deals and pricing to content strategy, other platforms and new income lines.

You can have both, as long as the LIVE agency's contract stays limited to LIVE. When does joining a LIVE agency make sense?

It makes sense when you stream often enough for coaching and event access to pay off, and the agency can show you what it has done for creators at your level.

Signs it can work for you:

  • You go LIVE several times a week and want to grow that time.
  • You want structured coaching on formats, battles and moderation.
  • The agency shows you results for creators your size and lets you message 2 of them.
  • Every term in the contract table above is in writing.

Signs to pass:

  • You go LIVE now and then, around your other content.
  • You're under 18.
  • The agency's answers on money or exit change from 1 call to the next.

TikTok's monetization requirements cover your age, an account in good standing and living somewhere LIVE Gifts are available. Joining a Creator Network isn't on that list, so you can earn from LIVE without one. For how LIVE fits with the rest of a creator's income, see which platform pays creators the most.

Questions creators ask

Do TikTok LIVE agencies take a percentage of your Diamonds?

It depends on the agency's contract. TikTok rewards networks through its own incentive programs, and the TikTok pages we checked don't set a rate for any share of yours, so ask and get the answer in writing.

Is it free to join a TikTok LIVE agency?

You join by accepting an invitation in the TikTok app, and the TikTok pages we checked don't describe any fee for that. Treat an agency that charges you to join as a red flag.

How do you know if a TikTok LIVE agency is legit?

Ask for the company's legal name, a written contract before you accept the invite, and 2 creators at your level you can contact. Then check that the invitation in your Agency Center comes from that same company.

Can you leave a TikTok LIVE agency?

Your contract decides how and when. The TikTok pages we checked don't spell out the exit steps, so get the notice period, any fees and what happens to pending earnings in writing before you join.

Do you need an agency to make money on TikTok LIVE?

No. TikTok's monetization requirements cover your age, account standing and location, and joining a Creator Network isn't one of them.

How old do you have to be to join a TikTok LIVE agency?

TikTok requires creators to be at least 18 (19 in South Korea) to use LIVE monetization features. An agency recruiting younger creators for paid LIVE work is a warning sign. This guide is general information, not legal or tax advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation.
